Partner Programs

Bicycles for Humanity is a movement that stands for entrepreneurialism, accountability and humanity. In the developed world, chapters form to collect bikes, raise the funds and then cover the cost of buying the container that becomes a BEC, "Bicycle Empowerment Centre" and ship them to Africa. All that the groups sending them to partner organizations want to know is that the bikes are used to help the people gain mobility and a better life. We have many incredible people in developing communities that truly want to make a difference. This section will share with you what many chapters are doing globally, it will also allow you to hear the stories of community groups we feel are worthy of B4H partnership and we ask all of you to join in our global community. Accountability and feedback, pictures, stories, testimonials are key to a grassroots movement and motivating all to continue to work long hours for no pay. Our partners in the developing world understand this and together we can make a difference. We are a global caring community that believes that a bicycle can make a difference. As we come together in the developed and developing world and together as one strive to provide the gift of mobility others join and our movement grows. It in ot our stories that are important, but those in need and by listening and learning, we can save the millions of perfectly good bikes from the landfills and put them to good use

Today's connected, networked world allows all to share this information, be it through Facebook, Youtube, websites, email, photos, videos or any other collaborate technology or application that is emerging. To facilitate this flow of information and communications, we have started the B4H Partner Program.

Being Grassroots all chapters are free to support who they want and to develop their own partnerships and programs in Africa. Today, Calgary and Whistler directly support the Karamoja region of Uganda. Seattle manages their own programs in South Africa as does Thunder Bay in Sierra Leone, Kelowna in Ghana, Denver in Zambia and Ottawa in Malawi. These new relationships created by existing chapters open the door for more chapters to join their programs or to branch out and start their own initiatives. Grassroots allows all to do what inspires them.
