Every chapter has a story, When Brenda and I founded Bicycles for Humanity, Kelowna was our original chapter and we sent a number of BEC’s to Namibia. When we moved to Whistler, Keith Germaine, kgermaine@okanagan.bc.ca took over B4H Kelowna. 40 years ago, Keith was a teacher in Ghana and he understood the need for bicycles in that region and they began sending bikes to Ghana. In the last 4 years they have sent over 2500 bikes to Ghana and they continue to do so.
