Bicycles for Humanity, the movement, works through the simplicity of connecting people here to people in Africa. This grassroots entrepreneurial approach just keeps growing. All chapters here and in Africa are faced with 2 main costs, the purchase of a container that becomes a BEC (Bicycle Empowerment Centre) and the shipping of that container of bikes to Africa. We believe that this grassroots movement may be something you or your company might want to become a part of. It's sustainable, environmentally friendly, cause related and helps all globally. Simple acts of kindness and making a difference that lasts for many years to come, well, they are just good for all.

There are many ways that your company can become involved:

• Partner with a chapter and help with the costs and collection of sending a BEC. Local media, of all types love this grassroots approach and we are more than happy to connect your company to our movement.
• Partner and help with shipping costs in Africa, again, the media exposure is terrific, plus the BEC has the potential to have your company name placed on it in support of the program.
• Partner and help with logistics, collection, manpower and general awarness in your community or country.
• Build a campaign to help increase the flow of bicycles to Africa, maybe a mail in campaign to your customer base.

Maybe you want to support the program in a new country. Right now, we are in Namibia & Uganda and we hope to bring the Bicycle Empowerment Network to many more countries in Africa.

Bicycles for Humanity is a movement and it will always be. It has no overhead or administration, it is totally volunteer-based and all give of their time freely to make it happen and deliver the gift of mobility to those in need.
