Words of Hope

Allow me to great you and thank you for the great work you are doing in the fight against HIV\AIDS. am representation Words of Hope a faith based community organization in Mbarara, providing integrated home based care to patients from the ISS AIDS clinic and Municipal clinic in mbarara.

Having worked the last 4 years under the Umbrella of the Baptist Mission of Uganda, we are now a fully registered CBO and are looking for new partners in providing care to patients with HIV\AIDS.our work includes Home based care counseling, support, health education, clinic and drug adherence. we are home to over 2000 patients and 6 community groups in Katete Kaberebere, Rugando, Rucheche Town centre Kitagata and Katukuru.

We provide health education in all these groups and they are lead by community facilitators living with HIV\AIDS. health education is done and patients have been trained in small income generating activities. HIV prevention is addressed in these groups and we use the advantage of having open groups to talk about HIV\AIDS care and management.

Our goal in the next two years is to become a leading groups in providing education and training to local religious leaders with skills of taking care of the sick in the community. we also have a secondary and primary school HIV\AIDS awareness program ready to be implemented. clinic based counseling has be a major part of our work sending one counselor to the ISS and Municipal clinics twice a week.

As a faith based organization our work is driven by love and respect of patients and w work to promote christian evangelism and discipleship and we have been recognized as one of the best spiritual care providers to patients of all religious background.
