(Djembe Student Collective)

Dr. Lee and the DSC packed the house at the Mercury Lounge with tribal rhythms on March 21st, 2008 - a fantastic evening enjoyed by all!

Thank you to everyone who attended! More than $600 was raised which will go a long way in getting the bikes in to the hands of healthcare workers in Namibia this summer.

Special thanks to Dr. Lee, the DSC, and Mercury Lounge!

In 2003 Dr. Lee released his first CD, Orange Galaxy. He traveled to Guinea, West Africa in 2004 to study djembe drumming with highly respected djembe master, Aboubacar Fatouabou Camara.

Dr. Lee's credits include collaborating with The Souljazz Orchestra, Antizario, the Peter Hum Jazz Ensemble and performing for Cirque du Soleil. He led the drum circle at the Westfest Tam Tam in 2006 and again in June 2007. "The Bowling Song" from Orange Galaxy was featured on CBC Television's "The Greatest Canadian Invention".

Dr. Lee continues to captivate his audience, teach djembe classes and is currently working on releasing an upcoming album.
