Benefit Concert - The Musicians

LOUDLOVE
www.loudlove.com

In a world where many bands go to great lengths to describe their "sound", Loudlove chooses to simply invite you to listen to their music and make up your own mind as to what they are. They have been described as powerful, honest and genuine. Loudlove is a band with rock, reggae, blues and many other influences but all of that should be ignored. They would rather see the smiles and the sweat pouring off you as you dance to their music and enjoy the atmosphere at a Loudlove show.

ANA MIURA

Ana Miura, folk musician, was the winner of the 2006 Songs from the Heart songwriter award. Chosen as one of "10 to Watch" for in 2007 by the Ottawa Citizen, and voted Ottawa's Best Singer/Songwriter, Miura has shared stages with Sarah Harmer and Melanie Doane to name a few.

From living rooms to main stages, her smooth, melodic voice, fluid approach to guitar and on-stage banter warms the hearts of each audience she encounters.

Ana continues to tour the US and Canada. Her follow up album to 2005's Tenacious Heart will be released in fall 2007.

Jupiter Ray Project, based out of Wakefield, Quebec is led by the husband and wife singer/songwriter team Jack Pelletier and Shannon Ross, who are accompanied by bassist/multi-instrumentalist Chris Breitner.

This primarily acoustic trio writes and performs original 'Canadian roots' music that is compared to classic musicians like Neil Young and the Cowboy Junkies. Their influences also include a range of genres: Bob Dylan, Ricky Lee Jones, The Rolling Stones, Jenny Lewis, Fleetwood Mac, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Daniel Lanois, Greg Keelor, Neil Diamond, Burt Bacharach, and many others.

Since forming in 2001, this band has released two CDs: Grassfire (2001), and their most recent album, Morrison Heights (2006).

JEFF MELERAS

Jeff Meleras is a voracious yarn-spinner with a low rumble and an easy manner. Jeff has been singing/songwriting for 20 years now. With the recent release of his debut CD, Songs from the Couch, Jeff plans to follow up with his next album, The Cottage Sessions in the summer/fall of 2007.

THE POLYMORPHINES
http://www.myspace.com/thepolymorphines

Setting their songs about hard living, and the hard bitten folks who inhabit their world against the backdrop of searing guitars and devastating rhythm, the Polymorphines do their best to leave everything on the stage and on their instruments. It might just be rock and roll, but they've always felt that there is room in this world for one more band that believes all you need is a guitar, three chords and the truth.

Fronting the band are Jeremy Brisebois and Nathan Hunter who swap vocals, guitar lines and harmonies on their self-penned songs. Veterans of the Ottawa music scene, Mark Laforrest holds down the four string low end, and Jordan Potechin renews the softwood lumber debate
on a nightly basis as he shreds through drum sticks. The Polymorphines play dirt-ball rock and honky-funk, and don't spend any more time trying to figure out how to describe their music. They're too busy playing it.
