Whistler Rotary Humanity Rocks Ride
This ride has been completed. Thank you for your support!
Ride Begins May 11th 2007
The initial Whistler Rotary Humanity Rocks Bicycle Ride will follow the Adventure Cycling, Northern Tier route from the west coast to east coast of the northern US/southern Canada, with a few slight modifications. We will detour to Thunder Bay, Ontario and then cross into Southern Ontario to visit Rotary Clubs in Brampton and Ottawa.
With Rotary Clubs in Vernon (Canada), Thunder Bay (Canada), Brampton (Canada), Manchester (UK) and Sydney (AUS) organizing, collecting and sending bikes to Namibia in support of BEN Namibia. All proceeds from this charity ride will go towards helping them cover the cost of transportation.
Anyone interested in joining the Ride, please contact us at info@bicycles-for-humanity.org. We plan on leaving around May 11th from Squamish, hopefully averaging 125 miles per day.
We will update daily in our trip journal with pictures, stories, and events. Art is an important part of who we are and how we tell our story. We would like to thank Liz Woodside for her donation of the Humanity Image and to Julie Masi for her hard work and that of many artists to bring the Humanity Rocks Song to reality. Please feel free to download the Humanity Rocks image and song.
