Welcome!
On October 24th at Hall D in Prairieland Park an organizing committee from the Saskatoon business community and 1,000 of their closest friends are getting together for an event titled "Experiencing Africa" which will benefit an organization called Bicycles for Humanity. The event will raise awareness of the need for used bicycles around the world, and expects to send 1,000 new and "gently used" bicycles to the city of Keetmanshoop in Namibia, Africa.
Everyone is welcome to attend, but the interesting catch is that you will need to donate a new or "gently used" adult bike to get in! Drop off times will be on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, and the event itself will feature African dancing, singing and cuisine, along with musical entertainment including Carrie Catherine and Men without Shame. A live auction featuring exotic travel packages, as well as a silent auction, mountain bike performers, and much more will be sure to fascinate everyone who attends.
