WANTED- TWO NARROW TIRE BIKES

"My wife and I each have older mountain bikes that are in pretty good condition. After reading your story in the paper we said that we would be interested in the possibility of trading them for narrow tired road bikes." - Brian and Brenda-

Thursday, August 21st

Bike Collection and fundraiser

W.L.Seaton School Parking lot – 27th St. Vernon

5-8pm

Please donate bikes with fat tires (ie.mtn bikes) as the bikes will be going to Namibia where they will be used on dirt roads

If you don’t have a bike to donate, you can help out with the shipping costs. It costs $22 to send a bike to Africa. You can drop off donations Thursday night, or anytime at Interior Savings, (account # 9102401)
or send a cheque to; BFH, 120 Rieger Ave, Armstrong, V0E 1B2

If you can't make it to this donation don't worry. There will be another donation organized in the fall.

 

Thursday June 5th

Bicycles for Humanity will visit the Kalamalka Rotary club at their noon hour meeting

Friday June 6th

Bicycles for Humanity had an information/donation table at the wrap up event of Bike to Work Week at the City Hall. Many questions were asked and enough donations were gathered to ship two bikes.

May 25th

$2 of each entry for the OkanaganShuswap Century Ride went to Bicycles for Humanity last weekend, raising $800! Lisa of Centruy ride presents cheque to Ted Melanson
